Tēnā Koutou, Talofa Lava, Malo e Lelei, Namaste, Ni sa bula, Noaia’e mauri, Fakalofa lahi atu, Kia Orana, Ni Hao, An Nyung Ha Sai Yo, Nay Ho, Hej, Hallo, Sawat Dee, Cześć, Goeie Dag, សួស្តី, Здравствуйте, hola, 안녕하세요Greetings to our school families.

Our first ever “Kings” Birthday Weekend – have been tripping over that name all week. Old habits die hard!

Our Year 6’s are literally bristling with excitement for camp next week, heading off on Tuesday morning. Please be aware that there may be more car traffic than usual as parents drop students off with all their gear. The final cost to parents was $190 – that means we fundraised $246 per Year 6 student to get them there! A amazing effort, considering the rafting alone costs $99. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for updates and to share the fun.

We had a great turn out to our Year 0-2 Structured Literacy evening last week. Many thanks to those that came along – the feedback was very positive, and we are glad it was helpful.

Thank you for the many messages of support we have received regarding industrial action by teachers in all schools. We have to keep good people in our profession, and must be able to provide the right support for our students.

Ngā mihi nui,

Kathryn Ramel

Principal

Puriri 1 – Trees for Survival Planting
As a school, we are very proud of the now thousands of trees that we have planted in our local area over the years.  All our seedlings are raised here on site, in our growing unit. This week is was some of our Year 4 students in Puriri 1 out and about doing Trees for Survival Planting. A huge thanks to the parents who came and “got amongst it” on the day, Mr Chapman for all his organisation in the day, and Mrs Holland for all her special care of our seedlings here at school. The land owners, on which the planting happened, were full of positive praise and appreciation for our students efforts. Here are some pics from the day:
