ASB 12-3095-0002327-00

Thanks for your continued support with this!
Mini Gala 2018
The Mini Gala is an annual event, totally planned, and operated by our Year 5 & 6 students. Students plan small businesses which they run at the gala. They learn concepts of economics (what do you need to sell it for to make a profit), advertising and planning for a target market. All profits from the gala are split across all Year 6 Campers, helping make the cost more manageable for families. The Year 5’s contribute, knowing that in turn , they will be supported next year. We love that as a community we support our kids to get to camp.
MINI GALA Friday 11th May – 12:10pm start/1:30pm finish. All parents, whanau and community members warmly invited.
If you have any no-longer-used/needed items that you would like to donate to our Second Hand Stall – please send along to Totara block asap. Your trash could be someone else’s treasure!
Please, on the day of the gala, if your child is bringing pocket money to spend, ensure it is in a zip seal bag, wallet or similar – these may be given to teachers for safe keeping in the morning if you wish, although teachers will not take responsibility for what it is spent on :-).
A big thanks to our newest school supporter, Mason Contractors
Starting in 1973 with just with one man, some shovels and a concrete mixer, Mason Contractors trucks are now a regular sight on the roads of the Mahurangi Peninsula.
Mason Contractors can help with your job whether it be big or small, including roading, concrete driveways, site work, drainage, retaining walls and farm work. They hire out trucks, diggers, graders, rollers, loaders, hiabs and containers, and supply metal, limestone, sand and topsoil. For more information call the team on (09)425 7799 or visit their website, www.masoncontractors.co.nz.
Winter Uniform
Now it is getting colder, it is time to consider winter uniform items. A reminder of our uniform policy:
- tights – should only be PLAIN black, white, navy or red
- undertops should not really be necessary (our fleeces are very warm), but if seen should also only be PLAIN black, white, navy or red
- long trousers are also available from our uniform shop
In addition you may wish to consider ordering a school beanie $13, or vest at a clearance price of $10 (limited sizes). Our SBS rain jackets have also proved very popular at $35 – not currently in stock, but will be shortly. These are polar fleece lined, with a fold away hood, and reflector strip on the back for added safety.
