We would like to invite all parents, caregivers and whanau members to our weekly “Whanau Lunch” this week to celebrate Matariki, the Maori New Year.
Whanau lunches happen on Fridays, and are a relaxed time for students and teachers to sit and enjoy their kai with friends across all classes and year levels. At this time of the year, we eat on the floor in the school hall. During warmer summer months, the meeting place is outside, depending on the sun.
Feel free to drop down with your lunch, and a rug to sit on if you prefer, while we share this time together. Some information on Matariki will be played on the big screen.
