REMINDER NOTICE TO PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS
Kia ora everyone
WHEN: Friday 29 May 1pm – 3pm
WHERE: Snells Beach School
You are invited to come and join your child for the afternoon in the following activities:
- Foundation Garden and Bird Corridor Tree Planting – for any parents and children new to the school.
Liberty Park Nurseries will be here with some trees for purchase if your family has not yet planted a tree in the Foundation Garden, or if you would like to replace a tree that has died, or donate another one. Trees will be available for $2, $4 & $6 to $10, from 1pm. You will be able to plant it and name it on the day.
- Louise Phillips Memorial Garden – School Council
- Flax Planting in front of the Administration Building – Garden Club students
- Gardens at the Front Entrance – Totara 2
- Goodall Reserve clean – up – Kahikatea 1 and 2, Kauri 1 and 2
- Flax heads – Puriri 1 and senior students
- Foundation Garden – Nikau 1
- Bird Corridor – Totara 1
- Trees for Survival Planting in the Hall with Puriri 1 and senior students
- Worm Farm and Vegetable Garden– Manawa 1
- Taking cuttings from school Lavender and Coprosma plants – Manawa 2
- Classroom Planter Boxes – senior students
Please come along and join us for part or all of the afternoon. Bring grandparents, aunts and uncles and make sure you wear some gardening clothes! If you are able to, please bring a spade, garden gloves and secateurs if you have them.
1pm – 2:30pm Planting and maintenance sessions. Parents wishing to purchase & plant a tree can do that at any time during this period.
