J ROCK UPDATE

Auditions were held yesterday for those students who were interested in lead dance roles in our performance this year. Plus we looked at a very excited group of Year 4 students who had the opportunity to take part in J Rock for the first time. It was very difficult but we managed to select a group of 10 to be our junior group at J Rock. It was wonderful to see the high degree of enthusiasm and participation displayed by everyone. It certainly looks as if we will have an awesome bunch of dancers to work with. Permission slips have now gone home, and it is vitally important that these are returned by next Friday, along with the participation fee. Many thanks to the 2 parents who have already paid and offered their help. We really appreciate it. Our theme this year is Living to Learn and Grow & is directly linked to our Inquiry. Rehearsals will take place on Friday afternoons, but there may be some after school sessions as well nearer the performance date. We have some exciting ideas for fundraising which will be advertised soon-( Mums you may need to invest in fans , stilettos & fish net tights!). However we are still looking for sponsorship- so if you think you may be able to help, or know of an organisation that is looking to support a venture such as this, please let us know!
