Welcome back everybody!
I hope you had a lovely relaxing summer holiday like I did. Lots of exciting things have been happening over the holidays. The building of Totara block has continued and it is looking like a proper building now, with the roof nearly ready to go on. Next, we will see the walls, windows and doors appear.
We are pleased to welcome Mrs Williamson in Nikau 2, who is new to our school. She is looking forward to getting to know you all. I would also like to welcome Mrs Watkin to Kauri 1 for the whole year, while Mrs Neels is helping me in the office, and Mrs Young to Manawa 2 for Term 1 while Ms Giles is on refreshment leave. Other changes are to the senior leadership team, with Mr Morley taking on the role of Team Leader for the Junior School and Miss Ramel teaching for 3 days per week in a specialist role for this year. Mrs Mackay is taking over leadership of our extensive Environmental Studies programme and has swapped classroom locations with Miss Jolliffe.
